Inline Planet Skater Network

Social networking for inline skaters

We are anticipating about 55 - 75 skaters for the race at the John Rose Oval on Sunday.

All skaters are expected to check in at 8:00, especially those who have not yet registered.

We are likely to have 2 - 4 races starting as early as 9:00 a.m.

Current Course Records for the 10K are:

* Women - Inline - Julie Brandt (Glass) 18:15 set on 8/21/94
* Men - Inline - Jorge Botero 15:55.30 set on 8/4/96
* Men - Ice - Joey Cheek 15:38.87 set on 2/14/98

Rain is in the in the forecast but we do plan to race if it is wet (pending any extreme conditions)

Given the numbers of participants we do plan to blend several categories together for the competition. This will not be determined until 8:45 a.m. after all walk up registration is considered.

After skating roll for the roses in pouring rain, I was surprised by how grippy the track was even in standing water. I hope the rain doesn't scare people away.
