Inline Planet Skater Network

Social networking for inline skaters

Check out the new NROC Registration Page!

I hoped to finish the NROC registration page in time to post an announcement today on the the main Inline Planet and National Roller Cup web sites. But I ran out of time, so I'll post it here and work on getting the NROC site updated next week.

Check it out (and register!): nroc.eventbrite.com

Remember: the first 100 skaters who sign up get a set of fabulous Bont G4 Mint Green 100 or 110mm wheels for free.

In addition to that, several of the participating events are offering discounts if you buy an NROC license.

Squiggy, Montreal and Saint Paul are offering a $5 discount; the New York 100K (the season finale) is offering $10 off.

Please check out the registration page and let me know what you think.

Thanks, I found it, but now when I enter it, it says it has expired... was there an expiration date?

Hey, Amanda ... It's in your Order Confirmation for the National Roller Cup. ... Check your email. ... If you don't have it, email me and I'll send you the code. ... I don't want to post it here because it is only for NROC skaters. ;)

Hi, Sarah. It can be a little tricky to decide. In general, I would say that if you consider yourself to be one of the top skaters — or competitive with the top skaters — in your age category, register as a pro. On the other hand, if you are you are not quite at that level, register non-pro (advanced).

What then becomes important is to make sure that skaters in the same divisions don't get unfair advantages by taking advantage of different cross-drafting rules at some races.

Last year I raced in both Pro and Advanced divisions at various races. My question is this. If I sign up for a pro or advanced liscence do I have to race all pro or all advanced races only? I skate with a team, at the St. Paul Marathon we skate together in the advanced division and when I skate solo at smaller races (Badger States Games ect) I skate in the Pro division. Im having a hard time deciding what to do.

Hey, Hoffmonster. Thanks for registering! ... You're one of the early adopters. ;)

Danny, I hope you can figure out a way to be part of the race series. ... We need you (and hundreds of other skaters) at all the events. Remember, you won't have to skate all the events to be competitive in NROC. Only a skaters top four or five placements will go toward the final results.

Hmm... I want to race. I need to figure out how to do this and Trans-USA. I guess that I need to look at my finances and figure this one out.
