Apostle Islands Becomes Major NROC Event

The new Apostle Islands Inline Marathon was a big success last year.

It drew a crowd of 250 skaters to Madeline Island, Wisconsin, and earned rave reviews, including this comment from Phil Moen: "This course is the best course I've seen. It's like skating on glass the entire way."

Based on the event's success in 2010, we have agreed to elevate it to Major status in the 2011 National Roller Cup.

That means that NROC skaters will earn full points in this event, which is scheduled for June 18th.

If you're looking for a great weekend of racing and fun, consider this event. The field is bound to be very competitive, the racecourse is a excellent, and it's set on the scenic Apostle Islands on Lake Superior!
