Social networking for inline skaters

Various types of skating exist in Cameroon. Roller soccer, slalom, recreational. But speed skating is the most popular with the majorities of skaters from the different categories.

Making an enrollment of about four hundred skaters, seventy percent is concentrated on speed skating. Regions that dominates with skating events are Yaounde, Douala and Buea.

Amongst the sporting arena in Cameroon, skating is the less popular as the Government focus more on football than others. Thus hindering the growth and progress of other denomination.

Numerous road infrastructures has contributed greatly in rising the number of skaters annually. Both low and high topography encourage trainings and competitions. Though an increase in the number of skaters annually, the scarcity of roller skates is a night mare in the arena of skating in Cameroon. Mostly in the speed as the tyres takes no time to depreciate during intensive trainings and competitions
Regional competitions has enormously brought awareness in the hearts of skating fans in the country.

Though there has being backwardness in skating in Cameroon, Africa as a hold, good news are on the way from the newly elected bureau to start soon with the African Confederation Competitions with Wendy Gila as the President. Competing with other African countries gives favorable mind set for skaters to learn different styles of techniques in skating.

Cameroon Roller skates Federation faces a vital problem as there is a vacancy in coaching. Skaters learn from forum extracts and videos. The significant consequences of coaching called for the assistance. The coach of speed his excellence Christophe Audoire.. A man with skating passion, that has lived his life for the sports, seeks opportunities for skaters to have the opportunity to race in the world’s greatest speed skating competition.
In his ten days training program with skaters in Cameroon, speed material like skates,helmet were donated to merit oral skaters.

To get with our movement, we all have to stay together and work together in the direction of our targets. If this is fulfilled, then our candidature will not be rejected by the Olympic committee for the upcoming 2016 games.

While affirming the tasks ahead, I believe if African skaters are given opportunities for skating clinics from different continent, then Fédération International de Roller Sports (FIRS) is sure of raising skating legends from these part of the continent.

I do express sincere gratitude to my supervisors, Jonathan Seutter, Tyler Congdon, Remi Hubert for their professional, guidance and technical support which help me enormously in the accomplishment of skating in Cameroon.

Warm and special thanks goes to Christophe Audoire, Carlesa Williams, Wendy Gila for their devotedness and constructive criticisms that has tremendously improved our standard of skating.

I continue to be indebted to all the forum administrators and web masters for their collaboration and open-mindedness allowing skaters from every part of the world to share common skating passion.

Finally and above all, I praise the ALMIGHTY LORD, for giving me the spiritual and moral consciousness to realize my dreams.
