Inline Planet Skater Network

Social networking for inline skaters

Hi, Skaters.

Could any of you help out this year with score keeping for the National Roller Cup. I need help getting race results imported into a spreadsheet (or other program), checked and embedded on the NROC web site.

And if you have any ideas for a better way to do this, I'd love to hear about that, too!

If you can help, please email me at robert@inlineplanet.com

Thanks!

- Robert

Hi,

If there is some people volunteer for this work, you can use a shared file of Google Docs (an "excell" type) in order to his colective use for this purpose.
There is not download needed; all user have to be able to acces at a google account whit this file and LISTO.

Hi Robert,

I agree with eduardo. A simple (and free) way to manage this data online and collaboratively is to use a Google docs spreadsheet. I am using one for our Austin area races. See the following URL for our current (and past) years racing results:
http://hillcountryinlineclub.com/hcs.html

Basically, you just embed a little bit of text/code onto an html page, and it will pull up the content of the spreadsheet in view-only mode, whereas you (and any volunteers) can maintain this data with edit capability.

Hope this helps,
Brian
