Inline Planet Skater Network

Social networking for inline skaters

This year, a skater's top seven scores count toward his or her final score.

That may sounds like a lot of racing. But in fact, a skater only has to compete in five races to collect seven scores. The reason for this is that Mega races (the NorthShore and NY100K) count as two races and earn double points.

As a result, if a skater posts scores in the NorthShore and NY100K, he or she only has to skate in three more major races (or some combination of major and minor races) to earn maximum points.

Major races earn regular points and count as one score; Class A races earn half points and count as one half race.
